Israel's SpaceIL and Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI)’s first lunar spacecraft, Beresheet (the Hebrew word for in the beginning), will begin a historic journey to the moon this month, when it launches from SpaceX Launch Complex 40 (SLC-40) at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station. The 180-kilogram spacecraft's launch is targeted for February 22, 2019.
“After eight years of hard work, our dream has come true: We finally have a spacecraft,” said SpaceIL CEO Ido Anteby.
